but how does a graphic designer achieve visual impact? you might ask. my approach involves using fundamental principles to create interesting designs in a wide range of scenarios. some of these principles include (but are not limited to): clarity, legibility, colour, negative space, hierarchy, contrast, size, scale, balance, composition, harmony & repitition.
my work is often clean and bold - although i do like to experiment. I utilize typography, iconography, photography and illustration in my print media work. when im working on projects for the web or other digital media i also find animation to be a powerful tool to convey meaning and enhance the visual impact further.
